I finally finished Zach's 4th Birthday invitations. After I finished my prototype and proudly showed it to Zach, he said "the rocket needs boosters!"(???). Then he said he'll draw it so I'll know what he's talking about. So I let him draw wondering how I'll be able to make something of his usual wild scribblings. Well, he was done quickly, lifted the paper up and showed me four circles -- two on top of the other two. I understood exactly what he was talking about, hence the two trapezoids at the bottom of the rocket. (Mental note: Zach would make a good team mate for when our family starts playing Pictionary!)
This is my favorite invitation I've made so far. I was able to use old Christmas stationery for the wings and boosters. I got this idea from the website Inchmark, blog of Brooke Reynolds (many thanks!).
