We've Arrived!

We finally arrived in Metro Manila, Philippines at 5pm on Monday, June 29. My parents met us at the airport. They were both teary eyed and that just did it for me. I found myself tearing too. The kids were shy for a minute, but bonded pretty quickly with their grandparents. My sister and her family waited for us at the condo we are staying at, and Alex and Zach were thrilled to see the cousins.

Our condo in Eastwood City is very nice and comfortable and the area it's in is very kid-friendly. We are within walking distance to banks, stores, plenty of restaurants, and a promenade for the kids to run around in with small bridges and even a fountain.

We have been lucky with the weather. This past week we've been here has been great. So far, it has been bright and sunny here, often not too hot, and the humidity has been bearable. I was prepared for all day rain which is normal at this time of the year, so we have been trying to go out as often as we can while the weather is still nice.

We've already been to a mini-zoo and traveled to Subic Bay yesterday to make sure we don't miss them before the weather starts to deteriorate. I just hope the weather will not be too bad while we are here.

Alex and Zach have been adjusting well too, not minding the humidity too much and have gotten used to riding taxis. They also have been enjoying their cousin Kenzie so much.

Alex and Zach saw a caterpillar (could be centipede, David and I can't tell) on our first day out.
