Subic, Again - Part 1

Sunday, July 26, 2009

We were not quite satisfied with our first trip to Subic, especially after seeing how pretty the area is and how many activies they have to offer. So we decided to go back. This time, my whole family came with us. My Uncle Jun (my mom's brother) who flew in from Davao city to see us joined us on this trip. And then I was thrilled to find out that Mama decided to join us too, knowing that she generally would rather stay home these days. She was glad she didn't miss it. It was nice to have everybody together and going on a trip. It has been a long time.

On this trip, we stopped to watch giant fruit bats perched, or I should say hanging, on trees. We were amazed at how many they were, on so many trees. We also stopped to look at the monkeys with their babies freely roaming along the side of the road. I don't know what kind of monkeys they were, but they certainly looked nice with their tufted heads. As Alex and Zach had requested, we also went to a beach resort (Camayan Resort) to swim and enjoy the water.

The fruit bats hanging on the trees -- apparently they eat fruit, hence the name, but they also look like fruits on trees when they're hanging up there

This is Alex annoyed at me for taking too many pictures of her at that time
