Cabrillo, San Diego

The beach was just beautiful. There were pelicans! I've never seen a flock of pelicans until then and they flew right in front of us. We were at the Cabrillo beach in San Diego with Grandma and Pop-Pop during their Thanksgiving visit. We went to see the tide pools and got there just in time when the tide was still low. The kids saw several small starfish, crabs and anenomes. It wasn't too long until the tide started to rise. The waves started to rise on us slowly that our feet and pants got wet. I was worried that the kids would get scared, but I should've known better! Zach wanted to get more wet.

The kids and Pop-Pop now have a tradition of making a list of things to do when we see them. They did so many things with the kids on this trip. Alex and Zach certainly now have more memories of Grandma and Pop-Pop that they can talk about over and over until the next time we see them.
