The Garden In August

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

David's seeds from June have finally grown and are fruiting. This month we have been enjoying tomatoes and green beans. Hopefully, the eggplant grows well next month and the zucchini will produce as abundantly as last year. David also has basil, chives, oregano, watermelon, parsley, and bell peppers now growing in the bed. This week we're reaching over 100F in temperature (it's 108F as I write) so David (errr, I) need to water them everyday. It should start getting cooler as summer comes to an end, but then again in the inland of Southern California, who knows.
