On Going Home

It was bittersweet leaving the Philippines. It has been a month long trip and the kids didn't look forward to going back home. It was good to know that they had a good time. The part they miss the most is being able to spend so much time with the extended family which they don't normally get to do. I know I'll miss that too.

We had a good trip. We were able to do pretty much what we planned to do. I can't believe our four week trip coincided with the dates of three family celebrations: cousin Anton's baptism and first birthday, my Mom's birthday, and Tito Nick's birthday (which the kids enjoyed and thought it was a real birthday party, because they sang happy birthday and blew out the candle on my brother's cake).

I know for sure that the kids will remember the many things they experienced on this trip for a very long time.
