Our Easter 2010

Saturday, May 01, 2010

We did our usual Easter egg hunt in our backyard. For the first time the kids asked us to hide the eggs and not just to scatter them all over the grass like last year. By happenstance, I hid the eggs in pairs which saved the day from disaster. Whenever they found the hidden eggs, they only took one from a pair, so they both ended up having the same amount of eggs sparing us from complaints that the other one found more eggs, and how it's so unfair, and so on, for the entire day.... :-)

We ended our egg hunt with a treasure hunt. We did this last year, too. A clue led to another clue that sent them excitedly searching up and down and all over our house, which eventually led to a small toy prize. This year, it was a Zhu Zhu pet, that surprisingly turned out to be a hit.

After the hunt, we discovered a lady bug had hitched a ride on one of our eggs! It was the best find of all!
