A Favorite February Festival

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Every year we try to see the Chinese New Year celebration at The Huntington Library. It's always exciting to watch the colorful Chinese lions dance to the drums. The festival was also a good excuse to see the many different beautiful gardens at The Huntington, always inspiring me to do some gardening or, worse, attempt a small landscaping project in our yard. This year, we even managed to go inside the museum and admire some artwork.

Feeling prickly just by standing next to the cacti in the desert garden

Our visit was cut short by Zach's stomach ache, unfortunately. He missed the last part of the lion dance show and was disappointed. I was disappointed, too. I wish we could have stayed longer to see more gardens. Maybe next time.
