The National Orange Festival said that there'd be a circus, elephant rides, pony rides and a whole lot more interesting and fun things to do, so we decided to take the kids and go. I was wary when we got there because the place was not crowded for a Saturday. In fact, the crowd was sparse. I was ready to be disappointed, but when we got in, the description lived up to what we expected, if not more. Also, it was very pleasant to be strolling in an uncrowded festival/carnival with two little kids. Alex and Zach were thrilled to ride on an elephant, and David was even more! The kids rode on ponies too. Alex loved the white pony she chose and kept on running her fingers through its mane during the ride, while Zach excitedly told us that this was his "first time to ride a horse ever!" Alex practically drooled over the adorable baby goats in the petting zoo. And the one hour performance of the L.A. Circus was probably the best part for all of us. The performers had enough tricks and humor to entertain both the parents and the kids. We were impressed.
