Zach's Preschool Graduation

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

I dressed him so nicely for his preschool's graduation. I don't know what I was thinking because graduation was held at a bounce house. All that jumping, running and playing in disco lights for two hours before the ceremony made him turn all red, sweaty and hot.

I had to go and leave the kids with David to get extra shirts for the kids. David said it was my excuse to get away from the place (not much of a fan of bounce houses).

Below is a cake decorated with pictures of the graduates. Zach's picture is at the back.

After all the playing, they finally had the ceremony. I was disappointed that they didn't have a graduation program at the auditorium complete with song and dance performances like in the past. It's always so fun to watch the preschoolers perform, especially if your child is in it. But then, Zach said he had the best time that night and felt so special that he got to play in a bounce house with his preschool friends and got to experience disco lights too! He asked me why they made it so special and he figured that it could be because they are graduating. He absolutely felt differently than I did, and I think his opinion on that day is all that mattered. I'm glad he loved his graduation.

I thought they were all so cute in their white caps and gowns. It was almost 9pm, quite late for the little guy. He's the one with the arms folded and yawning.

We're all happy and proud of our soon-to-be Kindergartener.
