Hi, folks! I wouldn't normally solicit on my blog, but I thought I'll make an exception for Alexandra's school PTA. So, forgive me if this comes off as...tacky?! :-)
Alex's elementary school PTA is having a fundraising that we would like to support. Our PTA has been terrific in providing programs for the kids, among them are the Accelerated Reader and Kinder Reader programs that Alexandra enjoys immensely. These reading programs motivate the children to read a certain number of books and they earn and save "Kash" which they can use months later to exchange for certain items. The more books the child reads, the more "Kash" they receive. They also get to join a celebration party at the end of the year for their achievement. Because of this, Alex has been even more enthusiastic on her reading and is determined to reach the maximum number of books to read per month (which is 50). Last month she read 74 books! I'm sure many of the kids in her school feel the same way. Our PTA funds other programs as well, such as hearing and vision testing and many others that greatly benefit the students of our school.
If you would like to participate in the fundraising, please click here to purchase items online. A percentage of the items sold goes to our PTA. Alex's seller ID# is wnd2050, in case you need it. They give something to the kids to thank them for their efforts.
Another option is to write a check payable to Windrows PTA, and you could mail it to our address. Please email me at cmirman {at} earthlink {dot} net for my complete mailing address. Any amount counts a lot.
