Alex had her first overnight camping with the Girl Scouts. They have been preparing for this for quite a while and the day finally came. She was such a trooper and so tough. The trip was especially designed for first-time campers. They pitched their own tents, cooked their dinners and washed their dishes. She roughed it and came home so proud that she did it. And she would love to do it again.
We actually are going to have our first family camping trip as a family in a couple of weeks. David told the kids that it's going to be at a nice camp ground and with amenities like a pool and spa! And Alex said that's not camping, that's a hotel with dirt!
