It was Zach's turn to have his Kindie 500 at school this year. We were to build a vehicle out of a cardboard box. Zach wanted a tank, but I thought that it would be tough, especially that he wanted one exactly like what he saw last year during Alex's Kindie 500. His other choice was a space shuttle, so space shuttle it was!
They had a parade around the school. The elementary kids brought out chairs to watch the parade. I've heard that this yearly event is one that the kids look forward to.
Just like last year, they had activities all morning long. Activity stations were built around the campus. They even had a drive-in movie and ate popcorn as they watched!
They had a repair shop in case any vehicle needed duct tape or a stapler. There were plenty of games and races.
Zach must really like his space shuttle because he almost refused to join the races in fear of his vehicle getting damaged. I had to convince him that it wouldn't.
The kids were all so cute. I'm glad Zach liked his space shuttle. All he needed was cousin Cole's space suit and he would have been completely set to feel like cruising outer space!
