Zach needed some Valentines to give out for his party at school. This year we made flowers out of gift tissue papers with pipe cleaners for stems. I decided not to attach a treat this time. I'm sure that is some points off from being a cool mom to the kids at Zach's preschool!
Zach has a sweet tooth, so I was worried that paper flowers without candy may disappoint him. But David said he had fun distributing the flowers to each friend's box. And, he came home with his bag of edible Valentine treats, which he treasured along with his (inedible) flower he had given himself. So I'm glad.
Alex didn't have a party at her school. She ended up making plenty of Valentine cards for me and David. At the end of the day, she said, "but nobody gave me a Valentine!" Oh dear.
