It was already bedtime, the kids had been tucked in and we were just waiting for them to fall asleep. Then it hailed really hard. So much for bedtime. They both got up, put on their winter coats and went outside. I don't remember hail this strong before. Our streets were white, the roof tops were all covered with hail it looked like it snowed. Some kids in the neighborhood who were still up came out to play in the dark.
