Scouting

Alex  joined Girl Scouts at the beginning of the school year.  She began to take interest in scouting  in the middle of last year.  The troop she joined in is from a different schoool and consists of an awesome group of girls who make Alex feel like she has been with them since they started their troop two years ago.  Alex is so comfortable with her new friends and has been enjoying all the Girl Scout acitivities.

Photos below were taken when they had a ceremony for her to officially become a Brownie.

Then unexpectedly, Zach took interest in Cub Scouts when we visited their booth during a school event.  He was sold.   The mom of one his friends and I were talking about whether or not we would do cub scouts for our sons, and Zach started giving them a spiel which included all the different activities they'd do.  It was an obvious decision.

And then, I didn't expect that David would also be interested in scouting enough to be the den leader for Zach's group! So now David leads Zach's Tiger Den with a group of 6 kids.  Luckily, David and Zach share the same level of interest in scouting (which is very high!), and I'm relieved at that.  They have been feeding of each other, I think!  Photo below was taken during a trip and when David was introduced as a new leader in our pack.

We now apparently have become a scouting family.
